Shang Tsung’s firstMK1Fatality is called Side Effects and can be carried out by pressing back, down, down, back kick while standing at close range. It sees him stab one of his claws through his opponent’s neck and then pour some strange glowing liquid down their throat. As the bubbling liquid oozes through their neck and they writhe helplessly in pain, theiconicMortal Kombatvillainslices open their stomach, allowing the liquid to pour; along with a few quarts of the other fighter’s blood.

To perform Shang Tsung’s second Fatality,Mortal Kombat 1players will need to press forward, down, back, back punch from medium range. Doing so will see Shang Tsung lift his opponent onto a handily placed bed and slice open their stomach. He then pours a strange green liquid into the hole which creates some kind of spiky snake that bursts out of the other kombatant’s stomach and eats their brain. It’s likesomething out of anAlienmovie, though arguably a lot more terrifying.

Mortal Kombat 1is available now on PC, PS5, Switch, and Xbox Series X|S.
