The read option inMadden 25is undoubtedly one of the more advanced plays I have encountered in my journey, but mastering it can unlock different dynamics in the offense.
This particular offensive playbook isn’t available for every team. Naturally, the playbook can fly under the radar (as you have to either use teams that have the option or customize your playbook). When used correctly, it lets you target a member in the opposition defense to make the most of your offense.
First, you need to select a team that has the playbook available (for simplicity’s sake, I am avoiding a custom playbook). Here are the teams you’re able to use.
P.S.There could be more teams, and this list is based onMadden 24.
Here’s how you can run the play.
Here’s a key tip to remember – always notice the DE’s position. If he’s down on his knees, it’s almost certain that he’s coming for the RB. In that case, you will want to keep the ball with your QB and take it to the outside. If the DE is holding back in a stand-up position, it’s better to let the ball go to your RB.
Like the Run-Play Option, the Read playbook depends on your prediction of the opposition’s move. You make the post-snap decision based on how you expect a defender to react. As with any playbook, make sure to practice in the training mode to get more efficient.
