TheHonkai: Star Rail3.4 livestream is set to occur soon, as the turn-based RPG by HoYoverse moves closer to the end of Version 3.3. The developer has not yet revealed many details about its upcoming patch and will likely do so during the livestream, highlighting its release date, the new playable characters, the character banner structure, story updates, events, and much more. Because of the ongoing beta tests, there have been a lot ofHonkai: Star Rail3.4 leaks, whichhave detailed the gameplay kits for its three new confirmed playable units, for example.
HoYoverse has already confirmed that the Chrysos Heir Phainon and theFate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Workscollab characters, Saber and Archer, will be made playable during the upcoming patch, but will likely showcase how they work in the Version 3.4 livestream. The developer has also confirmed that the patch will see the buffs to the first batch of older characters. While the changes to their kits have not yet been explained, they will likely be presented during the event, too. The livestream will also serve as a stage to confirm or deny theleakedHonkai: Star Rail3.4 character banners.
Honkai: Star Rail 3.4 Livestream - Date & Time
The Update May Happen On Schedule, Without Delays
The developer has yet to announce the special presentation, but it is possible to speculate exactly when the Version 3.4 livestream will occur based on the company’s previous behavior. With updates arriving every six weeks, Version 3.4 is expected to be released on July 2. Respective livestreams usually occur two weeks before, on Friday mornings. As such,it’s reasonable to believe that theHonkai: Star Rail3.4 livestream will happen on June 20, at around 7:30 am ET. This is the same time that the Version 3.3 livestream occurred, and HoYoverse tends to stick to its habits.
If the livestream does occur on June 20, it’s likely that the event’s official announcement will happen a few days prior. If there isn’t an announcement, the livestream will likely be delayed, and that is a sign that the patch’s contents are also at risk of getting delayed. Even so, the game hasn’t seen a delay in content in quite some time, and updates are being steadily released. The beta tests for the update have also been progressing steadily, so the odds that a delay inHonkai: Star Rail3.4 will actually happen are not that big.
What To Expect From Honkai: Star Rail 3.4 Livestream - New Characters, Leaked Banners, & Fate Units
There May Be 11 Character Banners During The Update
When it comes to the characters in Version 3.4, Phainon should be the big highlight. He has been accompanying players since the start of their journey on Amphoreus and is, literally, the first Chrysos Heir who interacts with the Trailblazer and Dan Heng upon their arrival in The Eternal Land.Phainon has had significant relevance to the story, but now players will be able to control him. HoYoverse has confirmed that he’s a 5-star Physical character on the Path of the Destruction, butPhainon’s leaked kit inHonkai: Star Rail3.4provides more insight into how he works.
According to the leaks, Phainon is a powerful DPS unit who doesn’t use Energy, but special stacks to fuel his Ultimate.Once he activates it, Phainon transforms, creates a territory, and all allies leave the field. During the Ultimate, Phainon is said to get extra turns and special moves that deal increased damage. The leaks also say Phainon can fuel his Ultimate with his own skills, but that he can get help from supports with buffs, healing, and shields. Phainon is a hypercarry DPS, and it’s expected that Sunday inHonkai: Star Railwill be one of his best supports.
The other two new characters, who will also be shown during the Version 3.4 livestream, areFate’s Saber and Archer. Confirmed by HoYoverse,Saber is a 5-star Wind character on the Path of the Destruction. According to Saber’s leaked kit from the aforementioned beta tests, she will have an expensive Ultimate, which is the core of her rotation, but ways of accelerating her Energy gains during battle. Based on the leaks, Saber’s build may require some extra investment, but she should deal heavy attacks to opponents.
On the other hand, Archer is a 5-star Quantum character on the Path of the Hunt. According toArcher’s leaked kit inHonkai: Star Rail3.4, the character will use Skill Points to enhance the power of his attacks, somewhat like Imbibitor Lunae. As such,it’s expected that Archer will need a character like Sparkle to help him keep the team functioning despite his Skill Point consumption. All the details about these new characters should be highlighted during the Version 3.4 livestream, as they normally are.
While Phainon, Saber, and Archer are the new characters, the patch will also have rerun banners. According to the aforementioned leaked Version 3.4 character banners,Phainon will debut in Phase 1 and rerun alongside Sunday, Tribbie, and Sparkle, while Phase 2 banners may feature Firefly, Jingliu, Kafka, Silver Wolf, and Blade. It has yet to be confirmed if this will be the actual structure, and how theFatecollab characters inHonkai: Star Railwill be integrated into it, but this will be clarified during the Version 3.4 livestream.
What To Expect From Honkai: Star Rail 3.4 Livestream - Amphoreus Story Updates, Quests, Fate Event, & More
Players Can Expect New Main Story Quests
HoYoverse has already confirmed that all updates between Versions 3.0 and 3.7 will feature Trailblaze Missions, meaning thatVersion 3.4 will also have main story quests to complete in Amphoreus, following the events presented with Version 3.3’s quests. The aforementioned beta test leaks have shown that players may visit Aedes Elysiae, Phainon’s hometown, possibly in the past (or the future). The details shouldn’t be completely revealed, but HoYoverse will certainly tease the new story quests in theHonkai: Star Rail3.4 livestream.
The presentation will also showcase the events planned for the update, including theFatecollab event. The leaks have shown that the collaboration event will be a limited-time event, but it’s unclear if it will connect to side quests or any other type of narrative events.Aside from theFateevent, other events with rewards should help fill out the update.
Version 3.4 will likely be a large patch, even if the story developments may not be as large as some of the previous updates. Even so, with more Amphoreus events, theFatecollab, and possibly 11 characters in banners during the six-week period, the upcoming patch may be huge, and this will all be detailed during theHonkai: Star Rail3.4 livestream.
