‘A token of appreciation’
AttainingHalo 5: Guardians‘ max multiplayer level is no joke. Spartan Rank 152 is an absolutegrind. When you get to SR 150, you’re a little less than halfway to SR 152. Players will typically get there around 70 days spent playing — about 1,600 hours. It’s tough to calculate, but between Warzone and Arena modes (and by using legendary XP boosts), it’ll probably work out to between 8,000 and 10,000 matches played.
Those people will have some sort of flair to show off whenHalo Infinitelaunches alongside the Xbox Series X late next year. Developer 343 Industries has confirmed that anyone who reaches SR 152 will receive “a token of appreciation inHalo Infinite.” An emblem? A weapon skin? Phil Spencer showing up at their door in full Recon Armor? Stay tuned.
That overwhelmingly high mountain is considerably quicker to climb throughout the rest of the year, however. BothHalo 5andHalo: Master Chief Collectionhave double XP events through the end of December. That’ll cut down on the grind.
There are a few more miscellaneous tidbits aboutHalo Infinite. 343 says “If you liked the level of armor customization options inHalo: Reach, you will be pleased [withHalo Infinite];” the developer now has splitscreen running on its internal build;Halo Infinitewill support LAN; and Forge will have undo and redo buttons, which is a first forHalo‘s level editor.
Lastly, 343 shared a couple new pieces ofHalo Infiniteconcept art. Those are in the gallery below. Maybe that’s the motivation these determinedHalo 5players need to get them to SR 152.
