Since its official launch earlier this year, Nvidia GeForce Now has been steadily growing the library of titles that can be steamed through its cloud service. This week, the platform has added support for a fair number of new games, including a few that fans of Valve will be happy to see,Half-Life 2andBlack Mesa.
Half-Life 2isone of the most influential shooters ever made, so it’s not too big of a surprise that it can be played on GeForce Now. Joining it this week are its 2007 add-on,Half-Life 2: Episode 2, and its multiplayer offshoot, Half-Life 2: Deathmatch. If that’s not enoughHalf-Lifefor fans’ taste, there’s alsoBlack Mesa, the popular fan-remake of the originalHalf-Lifefrom Crowbar Collective that finally launched in March after several years in development.

While cloud-streaming calls for players to have good internet speeds for games to run well, these additions still provideHalf-Lifefans with more ways to play these games on more devices than ever before. Just this past week,Nvidia launched a beta version of GeForce Now for Chromebooks, meaning these games can now be played even without a proper gaming PC. It’s an option that fans will definitely want to consider, especially since they can sync their Steam libraries to the service with ease.
In addition to the Valve and Valve-adjacent titles, the latest batch of new games on GeForce Now include a few new and relatively recent highlights. The most notable of these is perhaps Cold Symmetry’s new Souls-like action-RPGMortal Shell, which is joined by the likes ofPeaky Blinders: Mastermind,Steel Division 2, andGhost Recon: Wildlands.
