Players will need several kinds of tools and materials inGroundedto keep themselves safe, defended, repair buildings, and maketools likeGrounded’sax. One of the many materials that players will need to look for is Quartzite.
What is Quartzite?
Players can use quartzite as a material for some advanced crafting. With it, they can make a tool that will fix buildings that have been damaged and a machine that will collect water. Quartzite is a pinkish-colored stone that is found only underground in caves. While most early-game buildingmaterials inGrounded, like sapand stems, will be found above ground, players will have to go deep underground to find this stone.

How to Get Quartzite
Players will need a torch and a pebblet hammer before they set out. Quartzite can be broken to access more of it, so definitely don’t forget to bring along the hammer. Next, players should look for caves. Quartzite is usually buried pretty deep, so move beyond the entrance and explore to the depths of caves to find this resource. In order to watch out for some ofthe scarier enemies inGrounded,as well as keep their footing, players will need the light from torches.
What Quartzite is Used For
After finding the quartzite, players will want to make sure to put it through the analyzer to learn about all the possible crafts that they can make with this new material. Players should then be able to make a dew collector that harvests clean water. They will also need to find spider silk, weed stems, and to craft woven fibers as well as the quartzite to be able to make it.
Another new crafting recipe that players will learn from scanning quartzite is the repair tool. The repair tool is not a very good weapon, but it’s great for fixing buildings. Players will need one quartzite, threewoven fibers, and two sprigs to make it.
There is a lot of danger inGrounded, so always keep an eye out, especially when spelunking for quartzite.
