Punky platformer returns with new stages, music and more
THQ Nordic has announced that retro-influenced platform adventureGiana Sisters: Twisted Dreams, is coming to Switch, with both its DLC expansion and further new content, asThe Owltimate Edition.
Twisted Dreamswas the 2012 sequel to 1987’s Commodore 64 classicThe Great Giana Sisters, which originally landed its developer in hot water due its more than passing resemblance to a Nintendo game featuring a certain plumber.Twisted Dreamsstars teenage protagonist Giana, who must traverse through her own nightmares, switching between cute and punky personas at the press of a button, affording her new skills and abilities, as well as changing the game’s landscape and music.
The Owltimate Editionwill include the originalTwisted Dreamstitle, as well as itsRise of the OwlverlordDLC. If that wasn’t enough, then five new levels, a selection of new cutscenes and, perhaps best of all, more great tunes from legendary 8-bit composer Chris Huelsbeck have also been added to this definitive release.
