The mother of dragons from HBO’s hit seriesGame of Throneswill have dinner with one lucky donor. Actress Emilia Clarke, who starred asDaenerys Targaryen inGame of Thrones, is working with SameYou to help fight COVID-19. SameYou was created by Clarke to help those who suffer from brain injuries, but they’re turning their efforts towards a more immediate threat.
Clarke, who suffered fromtwo brain aneurysmsduring the filming ofGame of Thrones, is now setting her sights on helping medical workers find a cure for COVID-19. Twelve lucky donors to the cause will be randomly selected to have a virtual dinner with Clarke. The dinner will be a pre-assembled meal that fans will cook with Clarke virtually, and then sit down to have the meal together.

“We’re going to put together a store cupboard dinner. Together, we’ll cook it, and then we’ll eat it together. We will discuss lots of things. Isolation, fear, and also funny videos,” Clarke explained in her post.
Clarke took to Instagram to let her fans know that she was raising £250,000 to help free up hospital beds for victims of the coronavirus. The SameYouCOVID-19 Relief Fundwill go towards providing a place for those suffering from brain injuries. This will free up beds, so those in need of coronavirus assistance can be treated just as quickly. SameYou will be partnering with Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in America and with facilities in England.
