Havingdefeated Tanta Sila in the previous chapter,Forspokenplayers could be forgiven for thinking that Chapter 6 was going to be a relaxing one. However, it’s very much a case of out of the frying pan and into the fire, with trouble deciding to follow Frey back to Cipal in devastating fashion.
RELATED:Every Detour in Chapter 6 of Forspoken
The good news is that Chapter 6 is one of the shortest chapters inForspoken, with players able to complete it in around 20 minutes. Before they can do so, though, they’ll first need to figure out how to use the Zip mechanic, which, unfortunately, is a lot more finicky than it has any right to be.
How to Use Zip
After a short conversation with Cuff, players will be prompted tohead over to the nearby ledgein order to learn how to use Zip. This incredibly useful skill is one of several that Frey learns after defeating Tanta Sila and works a little like agrappling hook. Sadly, getting it to work can sometimes be a little cumbersome, with players often having to target very specific points in order to use the skill. In this case, they’ll need totarget the very edge of the opposite towerand then press either the Square (PlayStation) or X (Xbox) button.
A Hero’s Welcome
After zipping over to the tower, players will need toZip to the nearby metal polein order to complete the tutorial. After that, they’ll be free tofast travel back to Cipal. Those who’d rather travel on foot (or by Flow) are free to do so, though this will obviously take a lot longer given the city’s vast distance from Praenost Castle. However players choose to get there, Auden will greet them near the city gate and tell them tohead to the tavern.
Upon entering the tavern, players will be greeted with a short cutscene, after which, they’ll need tospeak with all of the people with quest markers above their heads. This leads to players taking part in a very basicdance-centric rhythm gameand receiving a gift from a cat. After speaking with everyone, Frey will return to the tavern and players will be prompted tosave the game, which should be a pretty clear indication that something bad is about to happen.
Broken Defences
After saving, players will be prompted tohead back outside, where they’ll soon be greeted by a wave of corruption emanating from the city gate. As theyhead down to investigate further, they’ll encounter a group of Breakzombies, all of whom wereresidents of Cipaljust a short moment ago. Unfortunately, they’re beyond saving now, so players will need todefeat all of the enemiesin order to progress. Eventually, Riven Carcasses begin showing up too, though these are fairly easy to defeat with a bit of brute force.
After beating all of the enemies, players will be automatically transported to the upper city, where they’ll need toclimb up the stone stepstoward the city council house. As they do so, they’ll be forced to listen to all of the injured civilians, many of whom lost people close to them in the preceding chaos. Once near the top of the steps, players will be transported inside the council house and another cutscene will play out. When it ends, so too does the chapter, with players prompted to save their game again before beginning Chapter 7, The Hue of Blue.
