The confirmed return of the Kurosawa Mode inGhost of Yoteilater this year has fans ofGhost of Tsushimaexcited due to the various cinematic possibilities that are unlocked by its unique framing and filter. For reference, the Kurosawa Mode enables the game to be played in a highly contrasted black and white filter that honors the filmography of the legendary filmmaker Akira Kurosawa. Thereturn of Kurosawa Mode inGhost of Yoteiis exciting to fans because it allows players to deepen the cinematic experience that is already provided by the game’s base design.

Of course, the Kurosawa mode alone isn’t what makes the game great, as the combat design that follows you throughout the entirety ofYoteishould be just as seamless and good asTsushima. In the previous game, you were able to string well-animated combos and attacks that made for a cinematic experience that is beautiful to watch and fantastic to play. There will beseveral improvements inGhost of YoteioverTsushima, but even though the game is getting better, I’m looking forward to the return of one feature, but it isn’t Kurosawa Mode.

Ghost Of Yotei’s Photo Mode Will Allow For Spectacular In-Game Pictures

The Game’s World Is Deserving Of Photographs

What I’m most excited about is the return of the photo mode. The first game in the series had that specific feature, and it was remarkable. Even though photo mode has become a widespread feature across a variety of games, the cinema-like world design ofGhost of Yoteiwill allow for several spectacular in-game pictures. With or without the protagonist Atsu in the frame, beautiful photos can be taken with the tool because of how beautifully designed the world and the elements within it are.

Ghost of Yotei’s world will be biggerthanGhost of Tsushima’s, as confirmed by developer Sucker Punch, so you can expect many more settings to photograph as you play through the campaign and its side quests.Because of how large its map is expected to be, there will be a lot more settings to photograph and, with it, more backdrops for Atsu as she fights her way through the threats of the region of Ezo, centuries after the events ofGhost of Tsushima.

Ghost of Yotei Customization

Ghost Of Tsushima’s Photo Mode Was Already Great, & Yotei Will Likely Improve On That

The Feature May Have More Options Than Before

The original photo mode inGhost of Tsushimawas already terrific, with many different options for players to use. With it, players were able to enter photo mode and select different filters, tweak the focus in their favor, find extra effects to add to the picture, and much more. One of the best aspects of the photo mode, something that isn’t spoken of too broadly, is how easy it is to toggle it. With this, you could make Jin Sakai attack and access photo mode as a means to capture the exact moment of his strike.

This enabled you to take pictures of the protagonist in various stances in ways that didn’t limit you to predetermined poses you would select later in photo mode, something that is recurrent in several games. The photo mode inGhost of Tsushimawas a game of its own, and I remember spending many hours within it, often ignoring my progress through the campaign. With therelease ofGhost of Yotei, the feature is set to return, and I anticipate that it will be better than the previous game.

With more investment in development than inGhost of Tsushima(which isHironobu Sakaguchi’s favorite PlayStation game), the confirmed photo mode in the upcoming game could have even more features than in the previous game. With it, players could have access to more filters and, with them, the option to customize them based on the color grade or lighting. While the photo mode itself could have more tools to work with, the game’s size could also influence the variety of pictures that you’re able to take inGhost of Yotei.

Expect More Stunning Fan-Made Photos In Ghost Of Yotei Than Ever Before

The Game Will Have More Armor & Dyes To Boast

This is because Atsu will have a wolf companion, for example, which may also be able to be a figure in the photos. Furthermore, Sony has already teased that there are many more armor sets in the game when compared toGhost of Tsushima, as well as a larger variety of dyes with which you can customize Atsu’s gear.Considering all the new elements that will be applicable to the main character, you will be able to take many more different pictures. I already imagine myself using specific gear with specific colors to match certain landscapes, for example.

Of course, photo mode only represents a small part of the larger scope of gameplay in this title. Even so, I remember spending several hours within it in the previous title, which took my playthrough to over 60 hours – it only takes about 50 hours to platinum it – and seeing that the upcoming game will be even larger, I’m sure I’ll spend even more time in photo mode withGhost of Yotei.
