Fire Emblem Heroeshas been one of Nintendo’s most consistently performing mobile games since it launched in 2017, providing players numerous ongoing storylines that feature characters across the 30-year-old RPG series. Amech-themed Book 5 launched inFire Emblem Heroesthis month, setting its latest adventure in an adaptation of the mythological Norse realm Nidavellir, and soon players will get their hands on 2020’s unique winter-themed characters.
As with many of its gacha game contemporaries, limited-time seasonal units are a big moneymaking draw forFire Emblem Heroes. Every year, holidays like Halloween andNew Year’s are celebrated inHeroes' primary setting of Askr, with often-powerful alternate forms of units to match. This year’s winter holiday units were announced last night, featuring characters fromFire Emblem: Path of Radiance,Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, and the newest releaseFire Emblem: Three Houses.

Sephiran fromPath of Radianceis an armored, colorless staff unit with an AOE healing effect for allies, whereasRadiant Dawn’s Altina is a sword-wielding Harmonized Hero alongsidePath of Radiance’s Sanaki (meaning they can cast a buff for characters from both titles once per battle). FromThree Housescomes holiday-themed variants of fan-favorite characters Bernadetta and Hilda, joining other pre-time skip versions of themselves inFire Emblem Heroes.
The 2020 holiday-themed summoning event, called A Festive Miracle, will begin tonight at 11:00 p.m. PT, and last until June 05, 2025. Fans ofThree Housescan also receive a special variant ofBlue Lions representative Felixas part of an upcoming Tempest Trials+ event, though a standard version of the character is not currently available.
