Without a doubt, the nostalgia and hype behind the remasters ofDisney’sLion KingandAladdinare as real as it gets. Many recall these classic games from their youth, as each initially released alongside its respective movie, so it’s good to seeDisney’sLion KingandAladdingetting the remaster treatment. However, in the games' official announcement trailer, eagle-eyed fans noticed a peculiar spelling mistake.
As many know, this remaster includes the Genesis, Game Boy, and Super Nintendo versions for theLion King, withAladdinnot getting the Super Nintendo version, but getting the other two nonetheless. This minute detail stood out to those who took part in the which-is-better debate for decades, but a spelling error forThe Lion Kingwas also noticed. On the Switch game case,Lion Kingis hilarious misspelled “Loin King.”

Interestingly enough, this only occurs on the Switch’s spine. The PS4 and Xbox One versions ofThe Lion Kingare perfectly fine, meaning that someone likely messed up while designing the Switch cover. It’s possible there are other explanations, such as outdated assets, but either way, this mistake is worthy of a good chuckle. This is something that will likely be fixed before launch.
“The Loin King” would likely be an entirely different game fromThe Lion King, but that’s not to say the remaster is identical to the original. Many will easily recall how difficult both of these Disney classic games were to beat, so both theAladdinandThe Lion Kingremasters have cheat codesdesigned to make them easier to play. Those who want to experience it as they did in their youth still can, though.
