TheEpic Games Storeupdates its page to reveal the free game replacing its current selection, which isToeJam and Earl: Back in the Groove. It is set to release on October 13 at 10am CT.
As always, the Epic Games Store rotates its selection at 10am CT on Thursdays. This means those who didn’t claim the last freebies on the service,RunbowandThe Drone Racing League, are no longer able to. However, the firstfree Epic Games Store games for October, perfectly fitting the month, are now available. These areRising Hell, a vertical platformer roguelike where players must escape Hell, and the other is Slain: Back from Hell, which is a 2D gothic action game. These will be available until October 13 at 10 am CT, at which time they’ll be replaced by the newly announced game.

ToeJam & Earlis an old but beloved IP, with 2019’sToeJam & Earl: Back in the Groovebeing the first game since 2002’sMission Earth.It is also the first game that Sega played no part in, but that doesn’t mean it’s a huge diversion. No, if anything,ToeJam & Earl: Back in the Grooveis incredibly close to the originalSega Genesis game. It is played from an isometric point of view and features the same, very simple gameplay that the franchise is known for. There are nine playable characters, a four-player co-op option, and a fun mini-game called Jam Out.
