Compared to many other AAA games releasing this year,Nightreign’s hardware requirements are humble, a welcome sight for those without cutting-edge graphics cards.Nightreignonly requires an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 3 GB, an AMD Radeon RX 580 4 GB, or better, though the recommended GPUs are a GTX 1070 8 GB and RX Vega 56 8 GB. Perhaps most surpisingly, the PC version ofElden Ring Nightreignonly requires 30 GB of storage space.
Elden Ring Nightreign PC Specs Explained
Is Your Rig Ready?
Elden RingNightreign’s PC specs were revealed even prior to its eight playable characters being officially announced, though thefinal two Nightfarers seemingly leakedlast week via mistakenly advertised merchandise. According to the infographic,Nightreign’s PC system requirements are as follows:
or
AMD Ryzen 5 5500
AMD Ryzen 5 5600
DirectX 12 (Feature level 12.0)
30 GB
Sound Card
Windows-compatible audio device
These specs makeElden Ring Nightreignvery accessible to consumers. For example, both the minimum and recommended NVIDIA GPUs were released in 2016, and are well below the minimum specs for many other new releases. For reference, the GTX 1060 and 1070 are part of the GeForce 10 series, and there have been five iterations on the brand since, with the most recent being 2025’s 50 series.16 GB of recommended RAM could be a limiting factor for some players, though the small file size and support for both Windows 10 and 11 will help widen the potential playerbase on PC.
How Nightreign’s PC Specs Compare To Elden Ring’s
Almost The Same Requirements
Nightreign’s PC requirements are quite similar to those of its predecessor,Elden Ring. In fact, FromSoftware recommends the exact same GPUs and RAM for theupcoming co-op soulslike.Nightreignis notably about half the size ofElden Ring, though this isn’t too shocking, sinceNightreign’s Limveld is much smaller than the Lands Between, even if the former is expected to have many permutations as part of its roguelike elements. The similarities in PC requirements are largely becauseNightreignis an asset flip spin-off– the majority of its textures, models, animations, sounds, etc. have been carried over fromElden Ring.
The largest disparity in the PC specs between the two games is in their processor requirements.Elden Ring’s recommended processors are an Intel i7-8700K or an AMD Ryzen 5 3600X. On the Intel side,Nightreign’s recommended i5-11500, part of the lineup’s 11th generation, came out in 2021, whileElden Ring’s recommended 8700K is part of the eighth gen released in 2017. DespiteElden Ring Nightreignrecommending a newer processor, the 8700K actually has a higher base clock rate, so it would seem that the game is slightly easier to run than its predecessor, which has notoriously inconsistent performance.
