Devil May Cry 5is out now, giving players a chance to experience the next step in the ongoing over-the-top saga of everyone’s favoritedemon hunter Dante. Some fans that have picked up the game may want to know how many missions there are in total so they have an idea on when they will be done with their first playthrough and ready to start again on higher difficulty settings to continue collecting red orbs and unlocking as many of the achievements/trophies as possible.
There are 20 main story missions inDevil May Cry 5, or 21 when counting the Prologue mission. The Prologue mission is fairly short, but it does feature some battles against demons, including a boss fight against the ultra-powerful demon Urizen, who serves as the game’s main antagonist.
When players manage to complete the main story inDevil May Cry 5, it’s far from the end of the experience. Players will need to amass a ton of red orbs if they hope to purchase all of the upgrades and skills for the three playable characters, plus there’s plenty of hidden items to find in the levels as well.
Additionally,Devil May Cry 5players can unlock 12 secret missions. These secret missions aren’t nearly as long as the regular missions in the game, but they do provide some extra challenges for players to complete. With the secret missions added, it will likely take playersaround 15 hours to beat the game.
Devil May Cry 5will add even more for players to do in the future. We know that theBloody Palaceis coming as free DLC, and Capcom has suggested that more playable characters could be added. Whether these characters will be regulated to the Bloody Palace or be available in the main story remains to be seen, however.
Overall,Devil May Cry 5gives fans of the franchise plenty to do, and is about as long as any other game in the series, if not a little bit longer.
