Without a doubt, there are a plethora of Guardians currently awaiting the return ofDestiny 2’sIron Bannerin order to engage in combat and obtain sets of fantastic-looking armor, as well as some fresh weaponry on the way, too. While they wait, though, the video game developer Bungie has teamed up with the retailer GameStop to offer fans a free in-game emblem with the purchase of any Mega Construx toy set based on the game.
As seen in the tweet below from GameStop,Destiny 2fans will notice Lord Shaxx standing alongside a Ghost, as he and the artificial intelligence robot will be included inDestiny 2’s Mega Construx Cabal Bruiser Battle Building Set for $30. Guardians also have the option of obtaining two other sets from GameStop to get the in-game emblem, as one can purchase Mega Construx’s S-34 Ravensteel Sparrow (a GameStop exclusive) for $16, and Mega Construx’s Cabal Harvester Dropship for a whopping $200.
For those unaware, the building blocks theme in theDestiny 2emblem seen above is definitely is on-point and indicative of the brand since the company behind the Mega Construx sets is the same one that is behind Mega Bloks, which are the arguably the closest competitors that LEGO has in terms of toy blocks. Of course, it’s important to note that the emblem give players any in-game advantages, and the toy sets are only available to those in the US.
Taking all of this into consideration, this is far fromDestiny 2’s strangest cross-brand promotion, as it at least offers fans the chance to have some cool collectibles while receiving an emblem at the same time.Bungie’s deals with the likes of Pop Tartsand Rockstar Energy for additional experience points and in-game items, on the other hand, were not only a huge hassle, but also didn’t provide anything beyond the in-game wares save for empty calories.
Destiny 2is available now for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and it’s set to release on July 10, 2025 for PC.
