While thenew Eater of Worlds raid lairinDestiny 2is much shorter than a typicalDestiny 2raid, developer Bungie has made sure to pack its endgame activity with all of the usual expectations. There is a challenging boss to defeat, new areas to explore, and even a secret chest to unlock.

To unlock the secret chest inDestiny 2’s first raid lair players will need to complete a small platforming puzzle before entering the final boss room with Argos. The good news is that the fireteam gets multiple tries at completing the puzzle, as long as nobody activates the first Argos phase and pulls the team forward.

Right before entering thefinal area with Argos, the team will need to load themselves into a massive cannon/gun. After a time, the tube will launch the whole team forward into the open mouth of the World Eater ship, Leviathan. Normally, the team will dodge pieces of space debris as they fall, but there are also six rings scattered around this open area.

If the fireteam wants to unlock the secret chest they will need to pass through each ring before triggering the next encounter. If any of the rings are missed the first way through, players can purposefully wipe to try again. But keep in mind that if the next encounter starts and all 6 rings have not been activated then there is no way to go back.

To recap:

Like any of the raid chests inDestiny 2, there is a chance at an exotic engram upon opening this raid lair chest. It does seem like Bungie has decreased the odds of getting exotic engram from raid chests, though, so keep that in mind. The chest will also contain a fewCalus Tokens, which can be used at Benedict 99-40 for more raid gear.
