The newDestiny 2: Beyond Lighttrailer shows off theStasis abilitythat’s key to the new expansion, with the power used to create ice platforms as well as freeze and shatter enemies.Destiny 2’s Stasis looks as though it will have major implications not just for the first-person combat, but platforming and general exploration as well. Needless to say, it should be a significant addition toDestiny 2when it becomes available in the game on November 10.

In the meantime, PlayStation gamers may be worried about what all of this means forDestiny 2on PS4 and PS5. Bungie has stressed that bringingDestiny 2to Xbox Game Pass does not mean that the Xbox versions of the game will be getting any exclusive content, so fans don’t have to worry about missing out. However, it seems as though theDestiny 2PlayStation content exclusivitydeal is no more, as Bungie has confirmed thatBeyond Lightwill not have any exclusive content on any paltforms.

These are definitely consumer-friendly decisions on the part ofBungie, and could go a long way in encouraging more people to check outDestiny 2. Bungie seems committed to the game instead of moving forward with aDestiny 3, and so it will be interesting to see how it all plays out in the months ahead.

Destiny 2: Beyond Lightwill launch on November 10 for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions to follow.
