With severalnew indie games coming to the Xbox Game Pass this month, Microsoft fans are signing up to nab some more free titles. But some fans have been asking if the Game Pass is as good for devs as it is for players. And the answer, at least according toDescenderspublisher No More Robots, is a resounding ‘yes.’
The Xbox Game Pass is a monthly subscription service that allows users to play games for free. While the serviceneeds a step-by-step guide to cancel a subscription, many fans seem to really like being able to try out tons of games and earn free stuff while they’re at it. And it looks like devs are having a great time with the Game Pass as well, at least over at No More Robots.

Mike Rose, who is part of the company No More Robots, Tweeted this week that Xbox Game Pass has been fantastic forDescenders, a fast-paced bike racing game. SinceDescendershit the Game Pass, the sales have skyrocketed. Xbox Game Pass allows players to try games they may have never looked at before, including big titles likeMinecraft Dungeonsand smaller titles likeDescenders.
Luckily for No More Robots, players really likedDescendersand made it the 8th most popular game on the Xbox Game Pass. According to Rose, sales have also tripled on Xbox. While tons of sports fans really enjoy regularly released titles like the NFL and theupcoming NBA2k21titles, BMX fans don’t have the same kind of regular games and content for themselves.
All in all, it seems like Xbox Game Pass is not only great for gamers who want to sample a variety of titles, but also devs looking to expand their game’s reach. There’s a reason why the Game Pass has continued to be so popular. With greatgames available likeThe MessengerandStreets of Rogueon Game Pass, it doesn’t look like Game Pass is going anywhere.
Descendersis available on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, PC, Mac, and Xbox One’s Game Pass.
