I’m already on my second play-through of what I called thebest Mario game that Nintendo has released. That would beSuper Mario Galaxy 2, the May 23rd Wii release that wowed me in so many ways that I wanted to make sure that our review (Editor’s Choice!) made it perfectly clear that you should not pass on this game. Borrow a Wii if you must!
But if my word wasn’t good enough for you, then how about the 31 other game reviewing outlets that also contribute to the scores on review site Metacritic?Super Mario Galaxy 2is now ruling the charts with 32 reviews that combine to give it a Universal Acclaim rating and a metascore of 98.That’s 20 outlets that have given Nintendo’s latest masterpiece a “100” so far. There’s a few more hard asses that took a few points off, but no score comes under a “90.”
Also, there’s 440 user votes on the game, and their scores combine to a 9.5 out of 10. That means that everyone lovesSuper Mario Galaxy 2. Haters? You’ve got nothing on this game.
As Bowser says in the opening of the game, “Have fun with your little mushrooms.”
