Capcom has been steadily dripfeeding information aboutMonster Hunter Risethrough various social media channels. Twitter and YouTube received short clips that demonstrated each of the 14 weapons that players are able to use in the game, while also confirming some returning monsters, in December.

Capcom has also shared clips and information regarding some of the newNPCs in theMonster Hunter Risenew hub, Kamura Village. While the announcement of some of those NPCs came in video form, Capcom has now switched to sharing concept art on Twitter of the various new characters.

Several pieces of concept art has been shown of Hinoa, and to a lesser extent, her twin sister Minoto. Both girls are who players will go to to start a quest inMonster Hunter Rise. Hinoa handles the Village quests, and Minoto handles the Gathering Hub quests. For those unfamiliar, the Village quests are single player quests, while Hub quests are multiplayer enabled quests.

Speaking of the gathering Hub, the most recent piece of concept art that Capcom posted is of Master Hojo, who presides over the Gathering Hub. What exactly this means in terms of gameplay is right now unclear asMinoto will be handling quests. It’s quite possible that Master Hojo will be the one giving the players quests, though.

A character named Kamitsu also had her concept art shown. Unlike the other characters though, it’s a little unclear what exactly her role in the game is. She is described by Capcom as a Sweettooth who sells candy apples. What exactly they do for players however, has yet to be seen.

New NPCs aren’t the only ones who got new concept art shared, however. Capcom also posted concept art of therecently confirmed returning monster, Mizutsune. Mizutsune is a leviathan type monster that Switch owners can currently fight within theMonster Hunter Risedemo.

Monster Hunter Risewill release on Nintendo Switch on July 11, 2025.
