Conan Exiles, the 2018 multiplayer survival game, is receiving its next full-fledged expansion. Introducing theIsle of Siptah, a massive expansion that adds an entirely new map toConan Exilesand fills it with all manner of exciting new content.Isle of Siptahwill be available in Early Access on Steam starting September 15. It’ll retail for $19.99 to start, with plans to increase the price at full launch in early 2021 when it’ll also be launched on PlayStation and Xbox.
As for what kind of contentConan Exilesfans can expect, Funcom’s already shared some early information. In addition to the newIsle of Siptahmap itself, thenewConanexpansionincludes a variety of new enemy types, two new building sets, a rhinoceros mount, and new vault, storm, and surge features, too. With the amount of new content, playingIsle of Siptahwill be like revisiting an entirely new game.

For fans of theConan the Barbariancomic, theIsle of Siptahhas a direct tie to a story written by L. Sprague de Camp and Lin Carter. In the story “The Gem in the Tower” Conan ventures to a mysterious nameless isle. Within a tower on the island lies a mystical jewel guarded by an evil sorcerer named Siptah. Naturally, everything goes wrong and Conan is left battling for his life against Siptah’s magic, including a winged demon. He discovers his way into Siptah’s tower nonetheless, only to find something all the more surprising.
To build some excitement for the upcoming release of theIsle of Siptahexpansion, Funcom is trying to bring back as many players as possible toConan Exile. From now through September 14,Conan Exilesis free-to-play on Steam. Funcom is clearly hoping that setting food in the world ofConan Exileswill be enough to persuade players to be part of the first wave ofIsle of Siptahplayers viaSteam Early Access.
