Verdansk is back inCall of Duty: Warzone, and according to Activision, it’s here to stay (for a while, at least). The classic battle royale map, alongside the launch of a casual mode, has given Warzone an even bigger boost, as players are flocking to multiple modes to enjoy the years-old juggernaut of the genre. Now, thanks to the Season 3 Reloaded update, we’re getting even more changes.

As well as expected map alterations and updates,Warzoneis getting several more limited-time modes, and ranked play. This is the first time Verdansk has hosted ranked matches, and with all the rewards in play, it’s going to see a lot of action when it officially launches. Activision also has plans to continue supporting casual mode, so there’s bound to be something for everyone in the new update.

Verdansk Is Making Some Changes

The Train Has Left The Station

When Verdansk is updated in Season 3 Reloaded, it’ll get the train rolling again. As part of the mid-season festivities, the Verdansk Train Station will be operational, allowing players to ride on it and enjoy the destruction it brings as it smashes everything in its path. The Triumph TF 250-X dirtbike also returns, adding more vehicular combat into the mix (you may already be familiar with the Triumph TF 250-X from Rebirth Island).

TheWarzoneteam is spicing things up with additional high-value loot zones, which are a risk-reward area that can net players premium loot at the cost of potentially entering massive firefights as everyone competes for the drops. Additional contracts are in, including the Big Game Bounty (which tasks you with eliminating the top player) and Train Recon contracts. No matter what your loadout is, there will be tons of new activities in Verdansk to play around with.

Ranked Play Is Possible on Verdansk For the First Time

Complete With A Full Reward Tree

For those of you with a perfect loadout, you may want to partake in the new ranked season, which comes with an array of rewards. As Activision puts it,Verdansk will allow for ranked play “for the first time in the map’s history"in Season 3 Reloaded. Ranked play is for squadded-up trios, and will focus on 50 teams for a grand total of 150 players per match.

Your placement will determine your rank, as well as grant you a skill rating (SR) as you take down other opponents, finish challenges, and survive.Interestingly, your SR will be matched up against others as you take them down, granting you more SR if you’re eliminating a higher-ranked player. Verdansk Is Getting Two Limited-Time Modes

High Trip Resurgence and Massive Resurgence

On top of all of these updates, we’re also getting two additional modes, just in case casual, standard, or ranked play isn’t your thing. High Trip Resurgence will be available for a limited time (also known as an LTM) and will force players to drop in with predetermined weapons as well as fight hand-to-hand. Different kinds of arcade-like boosts will be in play, including speed power-ups, quick reloading, and zero fall damage. It’s bound to be wacky, especially ifloadouts aren’t in play.

Massive Resurgence is the other LTM coming in Season 3 Reloaded, and will feature 120 players. The “resurgence” part comes into play by reviving squadmates, but at the cost of facing more operators in this “massive” variant. If you need a refresher, resurgence is a fast-paced mode that allows for respawn timers if teammates remain alive. Similar to the casual mode inCall of Duty: Warzone, it lets you get more creative and crazier with how you approach each map, knowing that respawn are active.
