Here,the story changes as Emmet and Lucy live in an apocalyptic version of Bricksburg, and there is no explanation for what happened other than an alien attack and the destruction of their way of life.
The first movie is about a young boy who wants to play, and his father holds him back because of strict guidance on how LEGO should be played with. The second has the young boy as the actual antagonist, as it is his sister who just wants to play with him, and he is acting just like his dad from the first film.

His older brother is Barley, who longs to go on a magical quest. Pratt voices Barley, and soon the two brothers both get their dreams, with a magical mission leading to one more visit with their dad.
The movie was a box office bomb through no fault of its own. Critics praised the film, andthe plot and voice cast did what was needed to deliver a touching and beautiful story about family and a longing to be more.
