Eternalsis an upcoming Marvel Studios film that many have been looking forward to, as it introduces many A-list actors to the MCU. Now, director Chloe Zhao has released a message for fans as they prepare to go to theaters to witness the latest epic from herself and Marvel Studios.
The Celestials are a cosmic race that is responsible for many creations, including humans,Eternals, and the Deviants. All are very different but come from the same origin (at least they do in the comic books).Thanos has both Eternals and Deviant DNAin the comics, which fans suspect will be addressed in theEternalsfilm.

Marvel typically excels at introducing new heroes to the world, butEternalshas the difficult taskof debuting several new characters all at once. This is why it was very much a passion project for Zhao. She recently put a post on Instagram to express her excitement about the release ofEternals, which she put all of her creativity, passion, blood, sweat, and tears into. The post reads, “Tomorrow we give our love child to the world. I love her so much. To my little family at marvel studios, and our cast, crew, and everyone who helped us give birth to her, to our wonderful fans, and to all the curious souls around the world that await her, I’m eternally grateful. #eternals beautiful artwork by @kino_maniac.”
Manyfans are excited to seeEternals, but the recent review embargo that got lifted has been not so kind to the film. The reviews are very mixed and many news stories have been released saying that the film is dipping on Rotten Tomatoes. The film is fighting an uphill battle, to say the least. It has the trouble of introducing 10 new heroes while trying to make them stand out and have enough screen time for an audience that is widely unfamiliar with these characters.
Hopefully, fans enjoyEternalsmore than the critics do and the film does well so Zhao can get another shot at directing a Marvel project andthe Eternals can returnin a future Marvel Studios movie. They play a pivotal part in the protection of Earth, so it’d be nice if fans can see them return again.
