Chainsaw Man, one of the most anticipated anime of the year,will be made available to stream on Crunchyrollonce it airs later this year. The announcement was made on May 16 that the anime adaptation of Tatsuki Fujimoto’s manga of the same name will be made available for fans to watch, with dubs in English, French, German, Latin American Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese to follow the original Japanese release.

The announcement also came with the official teaser trailer for the anime, which featured series information such as the names of involved staff members. As fans may already know, the anime production is being done by MAPPA, known forthe production ofAttack on Titan: The Final Seasonas well asJUJUTSU KAISEN.

Thestory ofChainsaw Manfollows a young man named Denji, who lives together with a creature known as a Chainsaw Devil. The creature, a devil named Pochita, helps Denji harvest devil corpses which he does to repay the huge debt left behind by his father. However, one day, Denji is betrayed by those he once trusted and killed. He forms a contract with little Pochita as he is dying, which results in his revival as Chainsaw Man, with the heart of a devil. The manga has run for 10 volumes thus far, with the 11th set to release on June 7. Viz Media publishes the manga in English.

While Crunchyroll announced that the platform will be streamingChainsaw Manwhen it is released later in 2022, the exact air date of the highly anticipated anime title is still yet to be confirmed. However, this latest announcement should assure fans thattheChainsaw Manprojectis still on track, and will be available to view later this year as initially announced.
