Since launch,Call of Duty: Modern Warfarehas had a deal with PlayStation so that users on PS4 can get their hands on some exclusive content not available on PC or Xbox. That trend continues with the newCall of Duty: Modern WarfareSeason 6 update, which includes a variety of PS4-exclusive content.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfareplayers on PS4 can also enjoy limited-time exclusive access to the new Hovec Sawmill map for Survival mode. The Hovec Sawmill map, and all the otherSurvival mode maps, will remain exclusive to PS4 players until Survival mode is released for PC and Xbox One on October 1. Survival mode’s PS4 exclusivity was a huge source of criticism for the game at launch, so it’s safe to say many fans will be happy to see it finally make its way to other platforms.
With Survival mode coming to other platforms, it seems as though theCall of Duty: Modern WarfarePS4 exclusivity content is nearly over. However, it seems likely that the exclusivity will extend to the upcomingBlack Ops Cold War. In fact, theBlack Ops Cold WarAlphawas exclusive to PS4, and PS4 gamers also have early access to the upcoming multiplayer beta that is supposed to kick off within the next few weeks.
It will be interesting to see just how extensive theBlack Ops Cold WarPS4 exclusive contentis. It’s possible it will mainly consist of cosmetic content, but it’s also possible that a game mode will be locked behind an exclusivity wall. This would likely upset fans, similarly to how many reacted negatively to the Survival mode PS4 exclusivity, but time will tell.
The nextBlack Ops Cold Warupdate will focus onZombies mode, so maybe PS4 gamers will get some exclusive content in that. Fans will just need to tune in to theBlack Ops Cold WarZombies reveal stream to learn more information.
