AlthoughCall of Duty: Black Ops 4is set tolaunch this fall,Call of Duty: Black Ops 3is still incredibly popular within theCoDcommunity. The game is so popular, in fact, that one fan of the first-person shooter has created a character mod that turns the playable soldiers into anime girls. While some may consider this incredibly strange, the mod itself actually looks pretty amazing in its attention to detail.
This character mod forCall of Duty: Black Ops 3takes the anime models fromCyberdimension Neptunia: 4 Goddesses Online, and the creator believes that this mod is the first anime mod forCall of Duty. It fully supports and changes the character models for the campaign, multiplayer, and zombies, so those who have a love for shooters and anime may want to check out this mod.
For fans of theHyperdimension Neptuniaseries, this mod features the following characters: Neptune, Nepgear, IF, Noire, Uni, Blanc, Rom, Ram, Vert, and Kurome. It also features polished shaders, HQ models and textures, multi-lingual support, and lively facial animations, “making [the] waifus 1000% more lively!” Check out some screenshots below:
DubbedCall of Duty: Neptunia Ops 3,the mod itself is a measly 86 MB, so for those interested, it should be a quick download. At the very least, this should be an amusing mod for those looking for a non-traditionalBlack Opsexperience. Check out theSteam page for the mod here.
Nevertheless, whileBlack Ops 3will always have its fan base,Black Ops 4is the face of the franchise’s future. Currently, theBO4community isup-in-arms about the DLC modelfor the upcoming shooter, criticizing both the all-or-nothing approach as well as its post-launch content in general terms. While the game is currently having some issues, it will likely develop a dedicated fan base similar toBlack Ops 3, and who knows, maybe one dayBlack Ops 4will have its own weird anime girl mod.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3is available now for PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
