Since its launch in 2018,Marvel Strike Forcehas continually evolved from a simple PVE turn-based mobile game to a PVP strategy game. And with the addition of Alliance War game mode, players had to fight off other alliances in intense PVP alliance battles.

Even though players can use advanced strategies to gain the upper hand against other alliances, having the right War Defense team is the real key to victory inMarvel Strike Force’sAlliance War. Fortunately, players have a wide selection of teams inMarvel Strike Forcethat they can use to bring home a win for their alliance.

And that’s not including the countless MCU series released at the start of Phase 4, like Loki and WandaVision. Video game developers take advantage of these new movies/series to create video game versions of each character. For example, Marvel Future Fight has released Doctor Strange from Doctor Strange and The Multiverse of Maddess as atop-tier Blast Hero.
At the same time, Marvel Strike Force has kept up with the latest movies and series to add newer heroes to their extensive roster. Additionally, they’ve made minor tweaks to certain characters pushing them from unusable to useable in some game modes like Alliance War or Arena. That’s why we’ve decided to include a couple of otherMSF War Defense teams,so players can have plenty of options for defending their Alliance.
11S.H.I.E.L.D - The Counter Villain Agency
Team Line-up
Even though some of the best War Defense teams in MSF are made up of hard-hitting characters, it doesn’t mean that players must only use teams with strong offensive abilities. That’s where S.H.I.E.L.D comes in handy since it’s a team that won’t necessarily wipe out a rival team but will be able to survive until the timer runs out.
The main pillar of thisMarvel Strike ForceWar Defense team is Nick Fury because his Passive Ability (Director of S.H.I.E.L.D) boosts other S.H.I.E.L.D members' Armor and Resistance by 30%. Moreover, Nick Fury’s Ultimate (Reinforcement) allows him to summon up to three S.H.I.E.L.D Agents (Operative or Security). Not to mention that the S.H.I.E.L.D Medic grants S.H.I.E.L.D allies Regeneration every turn, making the entire team almost unkillable,like the Hulk in the World War Hulk storyline.
10Hydra - The Paramilitary Terrorist Organization
Hydra was one of the MCU’s worst and oldest criminal organizations, and while there may still be remnants scattered around the MCU, they will never be as powerful as they once were. Fortunately,the Hydra team inMarvel Strike Forceis a decent War Defense team that players won’t have to pour too many resources into.
The key component of this War Defense team in MSF is Red Skull’s Hail Hydra Passive ability which allows him to revive a fallen Hydra minion at 50% max HP and applies 2x Deathproof on them. Furthermore, Red Skull gains 25% Damage Reduction per non-summoned HYDRA ally and 10,000% Resistance against Defense Down/Bleed.
9Infinity Watch - Guardians Of The Infinity Stones
The Infinity Watch team is among the best overall Heroes team inMarvel Strike Forcesince they perform well in nearly every game mode. And that’s because every member of the Infinity Watch can dish out a massive amount of damage, thanks to their buffs.

And due to their well-rounded synergy, the Infinity Watch merits being included as one of thebest War Defense teams in MSF. Players will want to focus on maxing Gamora since she’ll be the primary damage dealer of the team. Gamora’s first ability (Assassin’s Strike) attacks a target for 290% damage, plus performs 2x bonus attacks for 240%. The other members of the Infinity Watch will be the ones that keep Gamora alive during a War Defense match. So as long as Gamora is alive, players can expect to win a War Defense match with ease.
8Fantastic Four + She-Hulk
She-Hulk briefly joined the Fantastic Four lineupafter the events of Secret Warsbut later left to pursue her own heroic endeavors. Despite her brief involvement with the Fantastic Four, many fans now consider her the fifth unofficial member. And because of that,MSFfans can use her and the Fantastic Four together in War Defense with stellar results.
For starters, She-Hulk’s Passive (Court Order) can transfer ALL negatives from herself and the Fantastic Four members to an enemy while healing herself for 15% of her Max Health. On top of that, The Thing boosts the entire team’s Armor by 20% at the start of the encounter. Overall, the Fantastic Four + She-Hulk make a great War Defense team since they can buff their Armor and cleanse most negative effects.
7Heroes For Hire - The Mercenary Heroes Of Marvel
The Heroes for Hire team is undoubtedlyone of the best all-rounded hero teamsinMarvel Strike Forcesince they have a well-balanced arsenal of skills, some of which greatly benefit them in Alliance War Defense. For example,Colleen Wingis a fantastic brawler that buffs the entire Hero for Hires team, giving them30% Pierce Damage.
Shang-Chibuffs any Hero for Hire squadmate that hasDeflect, giving them+35% Critical Chance and +20% Block Rate. And to top it all off,Luke Cagegrants+50% Max Healthto each Hero for Hire squadmate, making them even harder to beat.
6Young Avengers - The New Kids On The Block
Even though the Young Avenger team lineup is relatively new toMarvel Strike Force, especially with its latest member, America Chavez, the team contains some of thebest skill-type heroes in the game. And while the Young Avengers isn’t particularly the strongest in War Offense, it is one of the best for War Defense.

For example, America Chavez’s skillAmerica’s Starlingreducesenemy damage by 20%and reducesenemy Drain by 100%. And Echo’s Passive skillPerfect MimicrygrantsDefense Up for two turnsfor herself and other Young Avenger squadmates.
5Web Warriors - Team Of Web Heads
Players who enjoy using the Web Warriors will be happy to know that this team is useful (and annoying for the enemy team) in War Defense. Scarlet Spider is one of the squadmates that make the Web Warrior team quite powerful since his skillNo ResponsibilityappliesOffense Up for two turnsand2 Deathproof buffson each Web Warrior on spawn.
Ghost-Spider’sPercussive Punishmentskill generates2 Ability Energiesfor all Web Warriors on the team. Undoubtedly, the Web Warriors areone of the best beginnersteams for War Defense.
4The Black Order - Thanos' Enforcers
WhenFoxNextfirst introduced the Black Order inMarvel Strike Force, players quickly realized that this team of enforcers would dominate the Alliance War scene. On top of the fact that the Black Order hasone of the best healersin the game, the Black Order is also a worthy opponent in War Defense.

Forced Transfusion, Ebony Maw’s Ultimate skill, steals HP from the attacking teamand applies Slow to them for two turns. Plus, Cull Obsidians' PassivePaybackgrants30% Max Healthto all Black Order allies while gaining1,000% Resistance.
3Weapon X - Mutant Super Team
One element that makesMarvel Strike Forceunique is that it features manyobscure Marvel charactersthat some players didn’t even know existed. And the Weapon X team is one team that has several lesser-known Marvel characters, except for Wolverine and Sabretooth. But, this team shines in War Defense since it uses (more like abuses) skills that increase the Speed Bar.
For example, Sabretooth’s Passive skillFeral Healingfills theSpeed Bar by 20%, whileOmega Redbuffs the team withone turn of Speed Up. Players who use the Weapon X team on War Defense will see how quickly their enemies are defeated in battle.
2The Brotherhood - The Darker Side Of The Mutants
Even though the Brotherhood is often considered a respectable Raid team (but far from being the best Raiders in the game), they shine in War Defense. For example, Mystique’s PassiveSubterfugeassists onevery non-attack skill used, which means any buff-type skill will trigger an assist from Mystique.

Moreover,Toadgrants100% Focus on all Brotherhood squadmates, essentially making them apply status effects without missing. The only downside of the Brotherhood is that no member has a healing ability, so players will need to rely on Defense Up’s applied by Juggernaut’sImmovable Objectskill.
