When Link isn’t exploring or sparring with monsters, he should be crafting meals and elixirs to replenish his stamina and health. Some recipes also provide special perks, such as drastically increasing Link’s Attack power.

It’s a good idea to munch on these meals before jumping into battles, and this guide will show you the best Attack boosting meals inTears of the Kingdom.

How to Create an Attack Boosting Meal

Cooking inTears of the Kingdomis surprisingly intuitive. When cooking meals, keep away from critters and monster parts (unless it’s Monster Extract). Most meals that make sense in real life are applicable in the game. Don’t mix ingredients with clashing perks, or else none of them will be produced by the final meal.

The best meals generally have a base (such as meat or apples) along with an ingredient that grants a perk (such as a Stamella mushroom), a heart-replenishing herb (such as Hyrule Herb), and some seasoning (salt works). The given example produces Energizing Salt-Grilled Meat which replenishes five hearts in addition to boosting stamina.

Read the descriptions of the individual ingredients to discover what benefits they provide in meals. If you’re aiming to make Link hit harder, you’re going to need Attack-boosting meals. Ingredients that boost Attack typically have the word “Mighty” in them, such as Mighty Thistles and Mighty Bananas, or the word “Razor”, like Razorclaws.

Razor Foods

The first ingredient to experiment with is the Razorshroom. Chucking it into a meal gives Link a base Attack boost. It can be used in various creative meals, but since this guide is about the best, simply chuck five of them into a pot.

This produces a Mighty Mushroom Skewer which gives a maximum Attack boost lasting four minutes and ten seconds. Don’t have five Razorshrooms on hand? No problem. Even three Razorshrooms will grant a two-level Attack boost lasting two and a half minutes.

To boost the effects of the Razorshrooms, swap one out for Goron Spice, creating Fragrant Mushroom Sauté, or Hylian Rice, creating Mighty Mushroom Rice Balls. Other worthwhile recipes include the Mighty Mushroom Risotto which requires a Razorshroom, Hylian Rice, Goat Butter, and Rock Salt.

Razorclaw Crabs function the same way Razorshrooms do. For an Attack-boosting meal lasting almost five minutes, cook a Mighty Crab Stir-Fry. This requires four Razorclaws and Goron Spice. Alternatively, substitute Goron Spice for Hylian Rice.

Mighty Foods

It’s never a good idea to eat Mighty Foods raw, as they provide great Attack boosts when used in meals. Five Mighty Thistles produces Mighty Fried Wild Greens, boosting Link’s Attack two levels for four minutes and ten seconds.

For Mighty Fried Bananas, which boosts Link’s Attack while replenishing hearts, combine Tabantha Wheat, Cane Sugar, and three Mighty Bananas. A less creative method involves simply chucking five Mighty Bananas to create Mighty Simered Fruit.

Unsurprisingly, mixing Mighty Foods with Razorshrooms produces among the best Attack-boosting meals in the game. Combining four Razorshrooms with a Mighty Thistle creates Mighty Steamed Mushrooms, which maximizes Link’s Attack for a whopping nine minutes and ten seconds.

Another great way to boost Link’s Attack is to put on special outfits. This can be done using theFierce Deity Armor set, or the Barbarian Armor set. Pairing meals and outfits together will ensure Link is ready for any situation.
