Fans ofDungeon and Dragonshaven’t gotten much in the way of games in the past few years, but there are currently plenty ofDungeons and Dragonsgames in the works.Baldur’s Gate 3has fans particularly excited, though little has been seen of the game so far. Luckily, that’s about to change.
Larian Studios, the developer behindBaldur’s Gate 3and theDivinity: Original Sinfranchise, posted an update on Twitter, revealing that fans will get their first glimpse ofBaldur’s Gate 3during PAX East. The reveal itself will take place on February 27th at 3:30 ET, so there’s not much longer to wait until fans actually get to see the game.

A teaser video uploaded alongside the announcement offers a peek into what development of the game looks like, with plenty of shots depicting mocap sessions and a few quick glimpses at some environmental art on a computer monitor. It isn’t much to go on, but it does give fans an idea of what to expect from the gameplay reveal.
Recently,Google Stadia leakedBaldur’s Gate 3’srelease window, though Larian Studios has since confirmed that no window has been finalized, so there’s no telling when the game will actually release. With any luck, it will be a major release this fall at the latest, but there’s really no telling. It’s been a long time since fans got an entry into the series, though enhanced editions of the first two games were released back in 2013.
Fans do have otherDungeons and Dragonsgames to look forward to in the future too, as a newDark Alliancegame was announcedduring the Game Awards. With plenty of other mysterious titles in the pipeline, there should be something to scratch any itch thatDungeons and Dragonsfans may have.
For now, fans will just have to wait and see whatBaldur’s Gate 3will have to offer. There are plenty ofgames forDungeons and Dragonsfans out there, but having something in an official setting is sure to be a treat for fans of the franchise. Hopefully, it lives up to expectations.
