Since its PC release,Larian has been supportingBaldur’s Gate 3with plenty of hotfixes and patches despite the game running optimally at launch. On Twitter, as part of a well-deserved accolades post, Larian let fans know thatBaldur’s Gate 3will receive its third major patch next week on September 21. Additionally, Larian confirmed that the critically acclaimed fantasy RPG will have its full release on Mac on the very same day.
Unfortunately, Larian’s Tweet didn’t include any patch notes, so the exact changes that are coming to the RPG on September 21 are yet unknown. With the game out on PC and PS5, and coming to Mac next week, Larian also has yet to announce the date ofBaldur’s Gate 3’s confirmed arrival on Xbox. Recently, Larian decided it’ll bring the game to Xbox despite it not being able to run in split screen on Series S, and confirmed it’ll launch on the platform before the end of the year. Though, with the sheer volume of new video games still set to release in this year’s final months, exactly whereBaldur’s Gate 3’s Xbox debutwill land is unclear.
Baldur’s Gate 3initially launched on PC in a polished state, but many players reported the game growing more unstable as they progressed. It’s great that Larian has been keeping up support with patches since launch and committing to bringing what many believe isone of the best RPGs everto more platforms. The studio is sure to release the patch notes for this third patch sometime in the coming days as it prepares to go live on September 21.
