At the moment,Assassin’s Creedfans are preparing themselves for the newest entry in the series,Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, which will take them to theage of Vikings in 9th century England. But before that, fans may find themselves briefly returning toAssassin’s Creed Odysseyand its Ancient Greece setting.
Later today,Assassin’s Creed Odysseywill be receiving a new, and most likely its last, update. It’s not a particularly big one, only about 3 or 4 GB, and will primarily be fixing a few issues. However, it will also include a new piece of content as a means to promoteAssassin’s Creed Valhalla.

The content in question is a very obviously Viking inspired armor set called the Norther Traveler’s Set, which has Alexios and Kassandra dress up like a Viking warrior, with a two-handed axe included as well. It’s not yet known whether the armor will be included for free or if players will need to complete some new quest or purchase it from the in-game store, but we should find out later today.
As for the fixes, those are listed below:
This isn’t the only way fans can prepare themselves forValhalla. A few days ago, we learned that aprequel comic book calledSong of Gloryis being made by Dark Horse and will seemingly focus on main character Eivor.
Both genders of Eivor appear on the front cover, indicating that both will appear, though how the writers intend to do that is unknown. UnlikeOdyssey, where players had to choose between playing as either Alexios or Kassandra,Valhallawill allow players tocontrol both genders of Eivor, with the option to switch between the two whenever they want.
That’s not the only change either.Assassin’s Creed Odysseywas heavily criticized for its rather boring side-quests, soValhallarendered them “non-existent,“focusing on brand new world events instead.
Assassin’s Creed Odysseyis available now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
