Apple TV+‘sSilohas been one of the streamer’s biggest sci-fi hits, but now its upcoming cyberpunk seriesNeuromancerhas had a huge filming update.Neuromancer, based on the seminal cyberpunk book of the same name by William Gibson, is one of Apple TV+’s most anticipated new shows.Silo, itself also based on a book, has been a huge hit for the streamer, andNeuromancercould easily do the same.
Neuromancerfollows Case (Callum Turner), a hacker who gets roped into doing a dangerous and mysterious job for a man named Armitage and a “razorgirl,” or mercenary, named Molly. The story deals with everything from artificial intelligence to transhumanism, and it’s considered a pillar of cyberpunk as a subgenre for a good reason.
Now,Apple TV+has released ateaser forNeuromancerthat both confirms the show is currently in production and shows images of the Chatsubo Bar. The clip showed an image of an empty barroom lit by a neon “Chatsubo Bar” sign and confirmed that production was underway. The post also read “Welcome to the Chatsubo, Cowboy,” a reference to Case’s work as a hacker or “console cowboy.”
What Neuromancer’s Production Schedule Means For The Show
Neuromancer Could Premiere On Apple TV+ As Soon As Late 2026 (Or Earlier)
While this isn’t the first filming update we’ve gotten -Callum Turner’sNeuromancerupdateconfirmed he had already filmed scenes in Japan back in January - it’s still big news for the series.Neuromanceris now officially in production, so it could be ready by fall 2026 or even earlier.Murderbot, for example, had a 14-month production timeline between principal photography and its premiere date.
There’s also the very real possibility thatNeuromancercould come out even earlier than that. Turner has reportedly already filmed scenes, andApple TV+’s newest teaser highlighted a fully built set for the Chatsubo, which may be an indication that production is already well underway, not just starting.Neuromancermay even be ready at the same time asSiloseason 3.
Our Take On Apple TV+’s Neuromancer & First Set Images
Neuromancer Already Looks Like It Has Potential To Be Another Great Sci-Fi Adaptation For Apple TV+
Though it is only a teaser and production announcement, this video already shows thatNeuromancerhas a lot of potential. The Chatsubo already indicates that the series has nailed the gloomy mood and neon lighting you’d expect out of cyberpunk. The Chat is also a central location inNeuromancer, so it’s a good sign that the show seems to have gotten it right.
