A lot has been happening inApex Legendsover the last month following the release of Season 11. With the introduction of this season, lots of new content has been added, includingthe Storm Point map, CAR SMG, and new Legend Ash. While many gamers have been enjoying this seasonal update, it hasn’t stopped members of the community from suggesting new ways to improve the battle royale. One of these ideas includes a new type of LTM.
Since the release ofApex Legendsat the start of 2019, Respawn has introduced several different LTMs into the battle royale. From the haunting Shadow Royale to theunique third-person mode, the developers have attempted to shake up the usual gameplay on various occasions. While many players enjoyed these LTMs, fans have suggested a new game mode for the future.

In a recent post on Reddit, a user known as MrFeature_1 started a discussion about a new potential game mode to add toApex Legends. The Reddit user pitched the idea of an LTM where players could only use guns of one type of ammo. As an example, they suggested that a game could include onlyHeavy ammo-only weapons, meaning that players could only use the Flatline, Hemlock, Prowler, 30-30 Repeater, CAR SMG, Rampage, and Wingman.
In addition to proposing the new ammo-specific game mode, MrFeature_1 asked fellow gamers for their input. Unsurprisingly, many quickly responded, offering their own takes on the idea. With over 4,300 upvotes in only a couple of days, the majority of players seemed to like the concept. Many hypothesized what different ammo-specific games would play like, with some suggesting that Bocek-only games could be intriguing. In addition, others believed that shotguns only would put an interesting spin on the gameplay as it would force close-quarters combat. Furthermore, some thought that the mode would work well inApex Legendsas an April Fools LTM.
This isn’t the first time this type of game mode has been attempted in a battle royale.FortniteandCall of Duty: Warzonehave had ammo-specific LTMS in the past. It will be interesting to see if the developers consider adding a new LTM to the game based on these suggestions from the community.
In other news regarding LTMs, Respawn Entertainment recently revealed that the Winter Express mode was coming back. This new LTM is a part of theupcoming Raiders Collection Eventset to start on December 7. In addition to Winter Express, the update brings a number of pirate-themed skins toApex Legends.
