The absolute best way to improve your heroes inAFK Journeyis through ascension. Your characters start out at a certain “tier” or “rarity” and you can upgrade this through the use of soul sigils (duplicates of the heroes) and acorns, both of which are normally found through gacha pulls. The cost of moving to the next tier varies based on the type (or level or actual rarity) of the hero, as well as what tier you’re improving to.
