2Classroom of the Elite

Animated By Lerche, Based on the Light Novel By Shōgo Kinugasa and Shunsaku Tomose

Classroom of the Eliteis amazing because it’s exactly what it wants to be: an edgy power-fantasy. A lot of anime want to be edgy, but they can’t quite pull it off. Their characters are unlikable, their premises are entirely unrelatable, and no aspect of the show feels smooth. The Classroom of the Elitehas perfected edgy anime and proves that the sub-genre is far from dead.

Classroom of the Elitestars Ayanokoji Kiyotaka, one of the smartest characters in anime. To call Ayanokoji a puppet master would be an understatement. He controls everyone around him like a sociopath, using the people in his class and school as means to his unpredictable ends.

The titular Mob is one of the sweetest characters around, the power system ofMob Psychois intriguing to say the least, and the themes of forgiveness and redemption within the series are enough to make even the toughest anime enjoyer cry.
