The science fiction offerings on the platform are actually quite substantial, especially compared to a streamer like HBO’s science fiction TV offerings. A lot of the TV shows on Prime Video are ongoing, but there’s a substantial selection of sci-fi TV shows that are completed and worth watching now.

The Kettering Incidentis a 2016 Australian series starring Elizabeth Debicki in an early role. Though the sci-fi drama was canceled after just one season, that season has a lot of curious parts that make it worth checking out. The story follows Anna Macy (Debicki), a woman who returns to her hometown of Kettering after 15 years.
When she was 14, Anna was biking with her friend Gillian Baxter when Anna blacked out and awoke 8 hours later, covered in blood and terrified, with Gillian nowhere to be found. It’s a slow-paced and methodical show, outlining everything wrong with Kettering before speeding ahead towards the end of the season.
9Warehouse 13 (2009-2014)
Secret Agents Investigate The Mysterious Artifacts Of Our World
InWarehouse 13, a series originally made for Syfy, a team of U.S. Secret Service Agents is assigned to the mysterious Warehouse 13, an Area 51-like location that contains supernatural artifacts. These artifacts include everything from magic lamps to Marilyn Monroe’s enchanted hairbrush.
The agents are responsible for protecting these treasures as well as finding others hidden around the world in order to protect humanity from their dangers. It’s a combination ofThe X-FilesandIndiana Jones, with a lot of fun to be had as the agents globetrot around the world, finding all manner of strange and memorable artifacts.

Created by Rockne S. O’Bannon with help from The Jim Henson Company,Farscapeis a cult sci-fi classic that was abruptly canceled but is still absolutely worth watching despite ending on a cliffhanger. With an intriguing story along with Jim Henson’s incredible puppets,Farscapeis one of the most unique sci-fi TV shows out there.
The series begins with modern-day astronaut John Crichton (Ben Browder) accidentally being hurled through a wormhole that sends him to an uncharted part of the Milky Way galaxy. There, he joins up with a group of ragtag escapees of the corrupt authoritarians of the galaxy, the Peacekeepers, and tries to find a way home.
7Electric Dreams (2017)
An Optimistic Look At What The World Could Be
The science fiction anthology seriesElectric Dreamsis based on the works offamed science fiction writer Philip K. Dick. The series only ran for one season and adapted notable Dick stories like “The Hood Maker”, “Human Is”, and “The Hanging Stranger”, with a rotating cast of notable actors like Steve Buscemi and Juno Temple.
Unlike some other science fiction and horror-themed anthology series,Electric Dreamhas a noticeably more optimistic outlook on technology and the future of the world. There are still plenty of thrills to be had in the dream-like series, but you don’t exit out of the show feeling unsettled.

The series follows the interconnected lives of the residents of Mercer, Ohio, which also happens to be the home of the Mercer Center for Experimental Physics, where scientists engage in impossible experiments.Tales from the Looptells a beautiful and intriguing story that’s more than the sum of its parts.
5Humans (2015-2018)
A.I. Becomes Indistinguishable From Reality
Humansis a sci-fi drama that ran for three seasons and is set in a near future where artificial intelligence has evolved to the point that engineers can build anthropomorphic robots called “synths”, which are nearly indistinguishable from humans. When they have a built-in consciousness like Anita Hawkins (Gemma Chan), then they may as well be humans.
It’s a mind-boggling series that constantly puts reality in question as the synths show more signs of humanity.Humansis filled with thought-provoking questions, but it also has a thrilling main plot that will wrap you up as much as any sociopolitical messaging. It’s a beautifully shot and fantastically acted series to boot.
4Person Of Interest (2011-2016)
A Tech Billionaire Tries To Stop Crimes Before They Happen
Person of Interestfollows a reclusive billionaire named Harold Finch (Michael Emerson), who develops a software program called “the Machine”. This “Machine” is capable of predicting terrorist attacks before they happen and even identifying people likely to be planning them, before the attacks are even planned.
Finch hires down-and-out former CIA operative John Reese (Jim Caviezel) to be his partner, and the pair go around preventing petty crimes that, if left alone, could result in worse futures. The series explores the complex nature of moral issues when trying to accomplish the “greater good” with its intense and thrilling procedural style.
3The Twilight Zone (1959-1964)
Science, Horror, And Fantasy Come Together In Other Worlds
Rod Serling’s original run ofThe Twilight Zonecould be categorized as “fantasy”, “horror”, or “science fiction,” with each description being just as apt as the next.
