May is for demon slaying in Hellgate

The resurrected free-to-play MMO shooter,Hellgate, iscelebratingthe month of May with a few events. May, of course, being a major holiday for all demons and demon slayers. In the Daily Hunt players can embark on a bit of a treasure hunt, scouring the game for items while slaughtering powerful foes. Successful hunters will be greatly rewarded, apparently. Level Rush tasks players with making a new character and leveling as fast as they can, which sounds like the antithesis of fun to me, but I’m sure it will intrigue the folk who do that of their own volition anyway....

Michelle Trachtenberg's 8 Best Moments As Dawn In Buffy The Vampire Slayer

Michelle Trachtenberg may have joinedBuffy the Vampire Slayerrelatively late in the show’s run, but the best Dawn moments inBuffymake it easy to see how she became one of the most essential and beloved characters.. As the Key-turned-little-sister to Buffy Summers (Sarah Michelle Gellar), Trachtenberg gave depth to a character who could’ve easily been written off as an annoying teen. Her performance struck a perfect balance between vulnerability and resilience, making Dawn a unique presence in the Scooby Gang - and one who more than earned her place by the show’s final season....

More RPGs Should Be Inspired By This Final Fantasy Game With A 92 On Metacritic

TheFinal Fantasyseries is an impressive achievement. There are 16 mainline games, all of which - even the most polarizing entries - have received mostly positive reviews from critics. Each game has something to offer, and you could likely find at least some people who say each one is their favorite. However, one game in the series made creative decisions that make it stand out from the pack, and I think other RPG series should pay attention to its success with critics and players....

Podtoid 93 apologizes profusely for the lack of Raul Julia

I initially chose this video for tonight’s post just because it’s bizarrely funny, but there’s actually a lot more going on here — Podtoid, as a group, is sort of like the kid who can’t kick this ball. Weintendto do aStreet Fightermovie commentary. We planned to do one for the last two weeks and we stared at it and squealed and thought about how awesome it was going to be when we did it, but then people started leaving spontaneously and we found ourselves wholly able to follow through with it....

Pre-E3 09: NHL 10 premiere trailer is all about the fighting

Sure, technicallythis is a hockey game. But really, they admit in the trailer: the first thing they want you to know about is the all new fighting engine. Sure, there’s other things, like hitting a hockey puck, checking people, and the like, but in the end, it all comes down to taking off the skates and cuttin’ a b*tch. But I guess that isn’t allowed in “traditional” hockey. NHL 10has a new physics engine for bashing up against the boards, allowing for players to get all tangled up, and an intimidation factor: the more you hound someone, the worse their performance will be....
